Leisure Services

The Recreation Officer coordinates projects associated with the Leisure Services Plan Implementation.  These are projects identified by the Leisure Services Plan Working Group as being high priority.

Current Leisure Services Projects include:

• Acquistion of GLC group fitness room;
• Research into foreshore reserve land aquisitions;
• Sports Lighting Feasibility Study; and
• Foreshore Access Plan Feasibility Study.

Are you a non-profit organisation providing Sport and Recreation opportunities in the Shire of Busselton?

• Promotional Strategies;
• Volunteering Strategies;
• Risk Management; and
• Other related services.

Get Active Geographe - Physical Activity Plan

The "Get Active Geographe - Physical Activity Plan" project is designed to increase physical activity opportunities for all people within the Shire of Busselton.  This plan is being developed with a high degree of community consultation and the current initiatives include:

Get Active Geographe Provider Profile Brochure

The Shire of Busselton has produced the Get Active Geographe Provider Profile Brochure that lists current Physical Activity Providers within the Shire, their contact details, venues and specifics regarding the activities.  The Provider Profile brochure will be changed regularly and if you would like to add, remove or change your details please contact the Shire of Busselton's Recreation Officer on the above mentioned contact details.

Walk Cycle Busselton Brochure 

The Shire of Busselton recently produced the Walk-Cycle Busselton Brochure that details five (5) outlined routes around Busselton and Dunsborough that can be easily walked or cycled. This brochure is also available electronically below or hardcopies are available at the Shire front counter or at 44 other participating outlets around the Shire.
