Community Development

The Community Development Officer supports community groups, organisations, individuals and local initiatives to create a happy, healthy and inclusive community for all.

Specifically the Community Development Officer:

• Identifies gaps in services and initiates community strategies to address these gaps;
• Facilitates community networks and collaboration; and
• Coordinates community projects and events such as the Access & Inclusion Plan and Leavers Week Celebrations.

Leavers - South West

Dates - 23 - 26 November 2009

The Shire of Busselton undertakes the key coordination role of Leavers Celebrations in the South West.  A program of harm minimisation is planned, implemented and managed in collaboration with the Office of Crime Prevention, WA Police, state and local organisations, youth organisations, local accommodation providers and community members.
