Ian Stubbs, the Mayor of the City of Busselton, invites direct feedback from members of the community regarding matters that the Council is considering, issues of concern in the community or projects being undertaken by your local government. Ian will present his views on a wide range of issues of importance to residents and the Council through this Mayor's Blog, and he invites your views in return. This is an opportunity for community members to respond directly to the Mayor and also to allow other community members to see and consider your views.
Ian Stubbs was the President of the Shire of Busselton from October 2009 until January 2012 after being elected to Council in October 2007. He then became the Mayor of the City of Busselton on the day of the official proclamation of the City, 21 January 2012. His current term as Mayor continues until October 2013 and as Councillor until 2015. Prior to being elected to Council, Ian had a long career in Local Government and worked as a CEO in the industry. He is enjoying the challenges and opportunities presented by being on the Council, and particularly leading the group of elected members as the Mayor.
