The Shire of Busselton has become a desirable location to hold wedding ceremonies, organised activities and functions.  If you would like to make a booking to hold a function or activity on public open space in the Shire of Busselton please contact the Administration Officer for Community Development (Ph: 08 9781 0383).  

Confirmation of your booking is subject to approval of your intent for use of the grounds and availability of the location.  Fees and charges may apply.  Please check the availability of the location with the Administration Officer for Community Development (Ph: 08 9781 0383) prior to submitting the booking form.  To confirm your booking you will need to submit a completed booking form and pay any booking fees if they apply. Please click on the links below to access the forms required:

Wedding Ceremonies - Shire of Busselton

WEDDING CEREMONY BOOKINGS ARE NOT TAKEN MORE THAN 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CEREMONY DATE.

If you would like to book public open space in the Shire of Busselton to hold your wedding ceremony please contact  the Administration Officer for Community Development (Ph: 08 9781 0383) to check the availability of your desired location and where available make a tentative booking to reserve the location.  Please be aware that set up and pack up time for your ceremony must be included in the time booked (2 hour time slot).

Popular locations for holding wedding ceremonies in the Shire include:

After making a tentative booking with the Administration Officer for Community Development (Ph: 08 9781 0383), you will need to submit a completed facility hire form and pay a $58.00 booking fee.  Please ensure that a tentative booking is made prior to submitting the booking form and payment.  Please click on the links below to access the forms required:

Please ensure that you have read and understood the terms and conditions detailed on the reverse of the booking form.  By signing the booking form you are agreeing to be bound by these terms & conditions. Please note the below important conditions of your hire:

• Your booking entitles you to hold your wedding ceremony in a Public Open Space however does not give you exclusive rights to the area. Members of the public have the right to use the area whilst your ceremony is in progress.
• It is not acceptable for wedding parties, guests or celebrants, to request the public to move to another location to enable a wedding party to take up that position. Please recognise you are in a Public Open Space and not a facility specifically designed for weddings.

Vandalism

This is an area of concern with ever increasing costs for the Shire accounting for a substantial portion of your ratepayer dollar each year. This money could be better spent on far more necessary facilities. Your assistance in reporting incidents, with descriptions and vehicle registration numbers or any information which will help to stamp out the costly process of continual replacement.

To report acts of vandalism, telephone the Shire Office on 9781 0444, Busselton Police on 9754 1222, or the Dunsborough Police on 9781 3030. The Shire offers a reward for any information which leads to a conviction of offenders.
