Financial Assistance for Community Groups and Events - 27 January, 2010
The City of Busselton announces the opening of Community Bids for the 2010 / 2011 Budget. The aim of the Community Bids is to grant financial assistance to organisations that provide services or activities that align with the City of Busselton's strategic plan and deliver sustainable social, environmental and / or economic benefit to the community.
Funding allocations include the following:

general donations and grants;
-
fee waivers (facilities, services and other);
-
events sponsorship; and
-
in-kind works.
Applications are also open for Minor Sporting, Recreational and Community Grants 2010 / 2011. The aim of this separate grant is to provide financial assistance to incorporated clubs, groups and organisations based in the City of Busselton in order to improve facilities and/or purchase durable equipment.
Funding for Minor Sporting, Recreational and Community Grants is provided on a dollar for dollar basis, not exceeding a $2,000 contribution per application and funds are provided on a reimbursement basis after the provision of receipts.
Each of these funding schemes has only one round of applications per year and applications for both funding schemes are due before 4.30pm Friday, 5 March 2010.
