Community Invited to Have Their Input to the Queen Street Upgrade - 5 March 2009
The upgrade will involve:
- resurfacing the existing road
- intersection treatment
- re-cabling for street lights
- widening of the median island and road verge
- delineation of parking bays
- pedestrian paving
- nib and landscaping treatments
As part of the main street upgrade, the Shire will be assessing and making decisions on the existing intersection of Prince and Queen St to provide a suitable amenity for pedestrians and motorists.
To assist in the provision of a preferred intersection treatment within the CBD, the City of Busselton is providing an opportunity for the community to comment prior to The Council consideration and the commencement of the upgrade.
The City of Busselton is asking the community to complete the survey which will be advertised in their local community newspapers and also on the Shire website. To access the survey on line please go to http://www.busselton.wa.gov.au/survey/queenst.
The survey can be returned to the Busselton or Dunsborough Libraries, the front counter at the Shire offices or mailed to the City of Busselton, Locked Bag 1, Busselton 6280 (Attention: Engineering Technical Officer) .
Survey closes on the 25th March 2009
Answers are completely anonymous.
