Free Information Forum for Locals - 4 June 2009

  • Media release

The Shire of Busselton is encouraging locals to attend the Community Information Forum. The aim of the forum is to familiarise community members with information about some of the services that are readily available through Busselton community groups and services.

A free information forum will be held:

Day/Date                Wednesday 17 June 2009

Time                     9.30 - 11.30am

Venue                    St Mary's Church and Family Centre Busselton

The forum will include presentations from a range of services such as:

  • Citizens Advice Bureau;
  • Shire of Busselton;
  • Troy Buswell's Office;
  • Anglicare Financial Counselling;
  • Department of Commerce;
  • Salvation Army; Busselton;
  • Sugito Sister City Association;
  • Busselton Dunsborough Volunteers.

There will be an opportunity for networking and questions over a cup of tea/coffee following the presentations.

The Community Information Forum is an initiative of the Citizens Advice Bureau with support from the Shire of Busselton.

Coordinator, Busselton Citizens Advice Bureau, Des Cantwell said "There are so many services in our community and so many people just don't realise they are there or how to access them. We are hoping people will come along to the forum, pick up some helpful information and network to put names to faces."

Busselton Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) offers a free, confidential, impartial and community-based information and referral service. CAB office hours are 10am - 2pm Monday to Friday. For more information contact Des Cantwell on (08) 9751 1199.

END.
