Six Artists on Show at Busselton's ArtGeo - 11 February 2009
Busselton's ARTGEO, along with the City of Busselton, is proud to present six varied artists in a wonderful exhibition of the combined works of Merry Fox, Pam Harrison Boyd, Jane Leah, Deanna Mosca, Charlotte Otranto and Jane Watkins. This unique exhibition is entitled: "Look Both Ways".
| Look Both Ways |
"Look Both Ways" is a collaborative journey of a group of students from Edith Cowan University with each artist searching for a way of conveying their unique take on the world and leave a small impression.
Having lived through the trials and tribulations of what can be a challenging, interesting and self-reflective course of study, these six visual arts graduates have managed to continually uplift and inspire one another. Their well received graduate exhibition, "Loose Surface", which featured at the Bunbury Regional Art Galleries in early 2008, became a celebration of that bond and an expression of their individual voyage towards artistic accomplishment.
This second group exhibition reveals the fruits of their labour since graduating and showcases each individual artist's developing talents.
Towards this creative end, each of them has found that sometimes it helps to stop and "Look Both Ways".
Dr Judith Roche, a highly accredited and accomplished artist currently lecturing at Edith Cowan University South West Campus, will open the "Look Both Ways" exhibition this Friday 13th February at 6.30 pm with the exhibition continuing through to Wednesday 18th March.
ArtGeo Gallery, 11 Queen Street Busselton from 10 am to 4pm daily and all members of the community are welcome to attend the opening ceremony.
An interview opportunity is available with all six artists.
