The Old Dunsborough boat ramp is scheduled to receive a new lease on life in the coming weeks as part of the City of Busselton's 2007/2008 Works Program.

As a result of a successful grant application the Shire has received funds under the Australian Government's Recreational Fishing Community Grants Programme in a 50/50 arrangement to refurbish the ramp. 

Extensive works will be carried out to upgrade the boat ramp and will also include a new smooth surface to provide ramp users with better access for their trailers.

"This is good news for boating enthusiasts", said Shire President, Cr. Wes Hartley, "Improved access and safety is very important, particularly in such a busy location."

Works will commence on Monday 19th November and it is anticipated will be completed prior to the busy holiday season.

Access to the ramp will be closed from Monday 19th November until completion of the refurbishments.
