We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join our Engineering and Works Services Directorate in the position of Development Control Officer.

In this role you will assist with the effective facilitation and coordination of subdivision and development approval processes, ensuring compliance with civil engineering standards, planning approval conditions, and other Shire and legislative requirements.

To be successful you must have:

• Demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably within a local government context;
• Engineering qualifications (Diploma plus level), or demonstrated relevant experience;
• Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to deal effectively with a range of people including developers, consulting engineers and members of the community.

Experience in the use of computer aided design (CAD) software would be highly regarded.
