Update on Meelup Beach - 20 February 2009
The Shire of Busselton has recently completed a significant works program aimed at improving the Meelup Beach grassed area, which have included improving the water supply, installing a new reticulation system and improving the soil to re-establish a quality grassed area.
Strong Response to Cultural Survey - 20 February 2009
Members of the Shire of Busselton community are invited to contribute their views towards the Local Cultural Planning Strategy in a survey which will run until mid March. To date there has been a strong response, based on the large number of surveys received.
Six Artists on Show at Busselton's ArtGeo - 11 February 2009
Busselton's ARTGEO, along with the Shire of Busselton, is proud to present six varied artists in a wonderful exhibition of the combined works of Merry Fox, Pam Harrison Boyd, Jane Leah, Deanna Mosca, Charlotte Otranto and Jane Watkins. This unique exhibition is entitled: "Look Both Ways".
Shire of Busselton's Investment Portfolio in Healthy State - 9 February 2009
THE Shire of Busselton's investments in managed funds in the 2007-2008 Financial Year resulted in a net positive return of more than $800,000.
The Shire's financial report was scrutinised at the Annual Meeting of Electors held in Busselton last Wednesday, where attendees were led to believe that more than $1 million had been lost by the Shire in the past 16 months.
Emergency Recovery Plan Supports the Community - 30 January 2009
Today the Shire of Busselton officially launched its Emergency Recovery Plan. The Plan aims to provide invaluable information to local emergency agencies and community groups should an emergency or catastrophic event occur within the Shire.
