City of Busselton Council has considered feedback from Windlemere Estate residents regarding the future of Greenfields Road which, after construction, will connect the estate to Dunsborough Lakes Drive. 

At a special electors’ meeting late last year a motion was put to Council not to proceed with the construction of this road and to limit any future access to the Windlemere Estate

There has been enormous interest in the review of dog control and exercise areas commenced by the City late last year. Potential changes to existing controls have been advertised for public comment over the last couple of months. In total, nearly 800 submissions have been received from a broad cross-section of the community.

Mayor Ian Stubbs advised that the City of Busselton will actively pursue the relocation of a State Government agency or department to the municipality in a bid to raise the City’s regional profile and ensure long-term economic sustainability.

“Any move to build upon the South West as a major regional centre will benefit towns, people and economies across the broader area,” said Mayor St

The City of Busselton is one of several local government municipalities that will share in more than $17 million funding under the State Government’s Community Sporting and Recreational Facilities Fund (CSRFF).
