Today the City ofBusseltonand Busselton Water signed-off on a licence agreement which will enable a geothermal heating system to be installed at Busselton’s Geographe Leisure Centre.

The City of Busselton will be in the spotlight this weekend with the opening of the refurbished Busselton Jetty attracting State and National attention.

The iconic jetty has been closed to the public since May 2009 during which time it has undergone a $27 million refurbishment programme funded for the most part by the State Government.

The purpose of the law is to protect the environment in the vicinity of the underwater observatory and the effect of 

City of Busselton has terminated the contract with Marine and Civil for the Busselton Jetty Refurbishment Project.  The decision was made after the contractors indicated that they are unable to carry out the work in accordance with the current terms of the contract.

The Shire is now considering completing the project ‘in-house’ with assistance from external subcontractors and suppl
