Leavers' Week will soon be upon us for 2009, and a positive outcome is that non-government and not-for-profit groups are invited to apply for funding for initiatives that benefit the Dunsborough community, from funds raised during Leavers' Week activities.

Two rounds are offered each year, with Round One now open for 2009.

City of Busselton Council on 12^th August unanimously resolved upon a proposal to build a Community Resource Centre and expand the existing Busselton Library site.

Today the City of Busselton launched on its web-site IntraMaps Public - a powerful interactive mapping system that has been designed to provide a wide range of mapping-based information in an easy-to-use web based application that anyone will be able to access.

In the Busselton-Dunsborough Mail of Wednesday 29^th July 2009 a front page article appeared stating that the Member for Vasse, Troy Buswell MLA, had written to the Minister for Local Government, the Hon John Castrilli MLA, indicating the Minister should, amongst other things, investigate the conduct of the meetings of the City of Busselton Council.

The City of Busselton as part of its program to encourage greater physical fitness within the community, regardless of age or gender, is encouraging members of the community to enjoy our beautiful scenery whilst participating in the 10,000 Steps Program, a publicly accessible, national online activity program.
