The City of Busselton is seeking comment from the community on helicopter and hot air balloon joy flights in the area.

The Shire would like to know what the community thinks on its policies relating to the commercial use of helicopter joy flights and hot air ballooning, from sites other than the Busselton Regional Airport.

Expressions of interest are sought from Dunsborough Community Groups for funding from the Leavers Community Appreciation Fund.  Following Leavers celebrations which occur in November, non-government and not for profit groups are invited to apply for funding for initiatives that benefit the Dunsborough community.

The City of Busselton has achieved its first milestone towards reducing its carbon footprint by completing an inventory of  the amount of greenhouse gas emissions generated by the City of Busselton's own activities, local residents and businesses.

The City of Busselton is encouraging locals to attend the Community Information Forum. The aim of the forum is to familiarise community members with information about some of the services that are readily available through Busselton community groups and services.

From late January through to mid March 2009 the City of Busselton conducted a Cultural Discovery Survey inviting the community to contribute towards the Local Cultural Planning Strategy.  Nearly 400 surveys were submitted both online and via distribution points throughout the Shire.
