Local Tourism Planning Strategy

The Local Tourism Planning Strategy (LTPS) is being formulated for the Shire to provide a long term strategic land use planning framework and strategic direction for tourism development. It will address current and future demand, identify tourism sites and provide guidance on tourism zones and infrastructure needs. The LTPS will form an important component of the Shire's Local Planning Strategy and underpin revised zoning proposals for a new Local Planning Scheme.

A Draft Local Tourism Planning Strategy has been prepared (refer attached) that will be considered by Council at its meeting on 27 August 2008 for adoption for community consultation.
