Swimming Pools

children in pool Our great Australian climate makes having a swimming pool an enjoyable experience for the whole family. But, if a compliant barrier is not installed and maintained properly, the possibility of a young child drowning becomes very real.

The City of Busselton is the responsible authority for inspecting swimming pools to ensure they are compliant with the relevant legislation. Please be aware that the terms swimming pool and pool may also refer to a spa. Also see Frequently used terms.

Below is all the information you need, for whatever stage your pool is at.

If you have any further queries, or would like to arrange an inspection, contact the City on (08) 9781 0444 or city@busselton.wa.gov.au – Attention: Swimming Pools Compliance Officer.

Remember, A BARRIER IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR SUPERVISION. Always watch young children around water.
