Interacting with your Council

Comment on a Specific Proposal

There’s always something happening at the City of Busselton. Your input is valuable and will help Council in their decision making. To provide feedback on current projects, activities and initiatives visit Community Consultations or refer to the Council for the Community page in the Busselton-Dunsborough Mail.

Alternatively you may like to register for Your Say Busselton . Your Say Busselton is a digital consultation platform managed by the City of Busselton in parallel with more traditional consultation mechanisms.

Attend a Meeting

Regular ordinary meetings of Council are held on the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month with the exception of January and December (Council meets on the fourth Wednesday in January and the second Wednesday in December). These meetings commence at 5.30pm. They are open to the public and contain a public question time.

Presentations to Council by Parties With An Interest

When there’s a matter on the Council agenda that you may be directly affected by you can come and speak to the Council during the formal Council meeting.  Applicants, landowners, neighbours of affected properties, representatives of relevant community organisations or other stakeholders may all be eligible to speak during this session.

Community Access Sessions

Members of the public can also address Council at Community Access Sessions which are generally held on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 5.30pm.  Any topic that relates to Local Government business can be discussed in these sessions. Discussion points may or may not relate to an item(s) on the current agenda.
