Rates 2020/21 Payment Options

Option 1

Pay the full amount on annual rate notice plus any **overdue interest via these Payment Methods - due 4 September 2020. 
(**A new 1st instalment amount should be obtained if overdue interest is shown on the annual notice.)

Option 2

Pay via four bi-monthly instalments via these Payment Methods - due on the following dates:

  1. 4 September 2020
  2. 4 November 2020
  3. 4 January 2021
  4. 4 March 2021

To elect the bi-monthly instalment option will require receipt by the City, on or before 4 September 2020, of the 1st instalment plus any **overdue interest.
(**A new 1st instalment amount should be obtained if overdue interest is shown on the annual notice.)

Easy Rates Options 3 or 4 or 5 (Only Applicable to Annual Rates)

The City has introduced new Easy Rates instalments options to make it easier to manage your rate payments throughout the year.

Under these options payments need to be made via direct debit in 40 x weekly or 20 x fortnightly or 10 x monthly instalments.

Once elected then the Easy Rates option and its direct debit will continue annually until cancelled by the City or you in writing.

The Easy Rates option is now closed but it will be available and shown on the 2021/22 annual rate notice.

The weekly, fortnightly and monthly payment dates for 2020-2021 are below.

 Difficulty Paying Rates?

If you are unable to meet one of the payment options stated on your 2020/21 annual notice then an alternative payment arrangement should be commenced.

To make an alternative payment arrangement will require a written payment proposal being sent to the City for consideration.

The proposal may be made via email to, by mail to Locked Bag 1, BUSSELTON WA 6280 or in person at the City offices.

Any proposal should be sent as soon as possible and should stipulate a clearance date or payment amount, regularity and start date.

Proposed payments are to commence as soon as possible and should be paid even if a decision on the proposal is yet to be received.

If a proposal is approved then it will be subject to various terms and conditions including a $30.00 fee and overdue interest at 8.00%p.a.

COVID-19 Hardship Policy

Council has implemented a COVID-19 Hardship Policy for the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 financial years.

The policy outlines a range of measures to lessen the impact on local householders experiencing financial hardship as a result of COVID-19 restrictions.

How to Pay Your 2020/21 Rates

There are various ways you can pay your rates.

You will need your Property Reference Number which can be found on the top right hand side of your Rate Notice.

Please select from one of the following payment methods:


BPoint Payment Gateway Click on the BPoint logo to pay via our BPoint hosted secure payment gateway using a valid credit card (Visa or Mastercard).

Please enter the reference number from your rate notice.


Please go to your online banking site and use biller code 6239 plus enter the reference number from your rate notice.


Via Mastercard or Visa Card by calling 1300 276 468 and entering the property reference number from your rate notice.

Pay Rates in Person

You can pay your rates in person at City of Busselton Civic Administration Building at 2 Southern Drive, Busselton. - View on Map

Present your Rate Notice intact to the cashier.  Payments may be made via EFTPOS, cash, Mastercard or Visa Card credit card.
