As you make the journey down the winding Yallingup Beach Road you will be amazed by spectacular views of rugged cliffs, coastal heath and crashing waves. Yallingup is a small coastal village, with homes dotting the hill. It’s largely untouched beauty is captivating and you will often have the entire beach to yourself, with the exception of a few keen surfers riding Yallingup’s beach and reef breaks. Surfing lessons and tournaments are held each year at Yallingup. There is also a calm lagoon to dip in for the younger or less adventurous. The lookout tower near the top of the stairs is a great place to take photos and for surfers to check out the swell before making the descent to the beach. Yallingup Beach has an award winning playground, shaded lawn barbecue area, toilet block, plenty of parking and a café and shops at the top of the staircase.
Other surfing beaches in and around Yallingup include: Smiths Beach, Injidup, Moses Rock, Gallows, Guillotine, Three Bears, Supertubes, Rabbit Hill and Honeycombs. Detailed surfing maps are available from the Busselton and Dunsborough Visitor Centres.
