Well-known Margaret River artist Chris Williamson returns to ArtGeo with an exhibition of thirty eight new works celebrating life, love and the power of pen and ink. This engaging exhibition titled Encore!

The Unrepentant Illustrator confirms Williamson’s reputation as one of WA’s most idiosyncratic illustrators. Williamson’s drawings reflect his penchant for old fashioned modes of transport and the language of maps. They also capture his passion for pantomime and childhood memories.

This gently subversive collection of drawings, collage and mixed-media works transports us back to a time when a ride on a tram cost tuppence, small boys played with Meccano, the pencil was the weapon of choice, a mouse was prey for the studio cat, and children were unaware of the perils of social media. Encore!

The Unrepentant Illustrator runs from 18 May until 24 June.
