New Director Appointed at City of Busselton

Tony Nottle has been appointed Director of Finance and Corporate Services at the City of Busselton and will take up the position in mid-January 2018.
The appointment of Mr Nottle was endorsed by Council on Wednesday 11 October 2017. Mr Nottle joins the City directly from the Shire of Dandaragan in the State’s mid-west where he held the position of Chief Executive Officer since 2010.
Prior to this Mr Nottle served as CEO at the Shires of Coolgardie, Carnamah, and Menzies. He held the position of Accountant / Deputy CEO at the Shire of Laverton and Senior Finance Officer at the Shire of Kojonup.
CEO at the City of Busselton Mike Archer said that Mr Nottle brings with him a wealth of experience in local government. “We are excited to welcome Mr Nottle onto the senior management team. He was a standout contender in a large and very strong pool of applicants which is testament to the pulling power of this great municipality and the appeal of the City of Busselton as a desirable place to work.
Mr Nottle’s strong financial background was particularly impressive. He is a likable, community-minded individual with an energetic and positive approach. We are looking forward to his commencement and welcoming him and his young family into the community.”
Mr Nottle replaces former Director of Finance and Corporate Services, Mr Matthew Smith. “I note the significant achievement made by Matthew Smith who was employed at the City of Busselton for many years,” Mr Archer said. “He made a lasting and positive contribution to the City of Busselton and was held in high esteem by Council.”
