Ludlow Art Prize
Friday 6th October 2023 - Sunday 8th October 2023
The Ludlow Art Prize showcases Australian landscape paintings and sculptures in an outdoor setting. We encourage South West of Western Australia artists to enter this inaugural competition.
The Ludlow Art Prize will bring people together to shine a light on the listed, critically endangered Tuart woodlands and forests of the Swan Coastal Plain ecological community including the last remaining Tuart Forest at Ludlow, Western Australia. It is divided into two key components:
1. The Ludlow Art Prize for an Australian landscape painting (Selected by an independent panel of judges; non-acquisitive) $5,000 cash. Short listed entrants (Finalists) will have their work exhibited at the Ludlow Forestry Settlement from 6 - 8 October 2023. All exhibiting artists will be invited to attend the official opening and prize presentation on Friday 6 October commencing at 5pm.Entry fee is $40 Inc. GST per artwork. Closing date is 31 August 2023.
2. The Ludlow Art Prize for a sculpture (Selected by an independent panel of judges; non-acquisitive) $5,000 cash. Short listed entrants (Finalists) will have their work exhibited at the Ludlow Forestry Settlement from 6 - 8 October 2023. All exhibiting artists will be invited to attend the official opening and prize presentation on Friday 6 October commencing at 5pm. Entry fee is $40 Inc. GST per artwork.
