Yal’s is home to the Yallingup Malibu Longboard Classic.
Established in 1985 by a bunch of local surfers for a bit of fun, Yal-Mal in now in its 37th year and WA’s premier longboarding contest.
The Yallingup Malibu Classic is proudly hosted by The Indian Ocean Longboard Club who are committed to keeping the history and traditions of the event alive, whilst facilitating a fun, friendly and inclusive event.
The event is held at the Yallingup mainbreak and runs from 7am to 4pm each day, depending on conditions (approximate times only).
Presentations are held at the end of the second day on the lawn overlooking the main break.
The club also raffles & auctions surfboards & surfwear, artwork, prints, accommodation, wine & beer and more!
