The City of Busselton has been awarded funding from the State Government as part of the WasteSorted Community Education Grants to deliver innovative programs that aim to make landfill the last resort.

The City’s project ‘Bin Better Busselton - Waste Sorting Kits for Holiday Homes’ will receive $13,348 in funding. City officers will work with holiday home property managers to provide tailored waste sorting kits to 200 holiday homes which aim to improve recycling habits. The project will be supported by surveys and bin inspections to measure behaviour change. The project will take place over winter 2026.

If you own or manage a holiday home/s within the City of Busselton, you can register your interest to be a part of the project by sending an email to waste.edu@busselton.wa.gov.au.
