City of Busselton - Proof of Vaccination One-on-One Help Sessions

Published on Monday, 17 January 2022 at 11:43:00 AM

Busselton and Dunsborough Libraries will be providing free personalised sessions to help community members access their proof of vaccination certificates in preparation for the upcoming re-opening of the Western Australian borders.

As Western Australia prepares to open its borders everyone may be required to show their proof of an approved Covid vaccination. The Libraries’ friendly digital mentors will assist community members to access their certificates in a safe environment.

The free 20 minute appointment allows mentors to assist in setting up and navigating the MyGov website, as well as storing certificates for easy access when requested. If you prefer only a printed copy you will still need to call the Australian Immunisation Register on 1800 653 809.

Mayor Grant Henley said, "The new serviceWA app is a fantastic resource, allowing people to show proof of vaccination, check in with SafeWA and access G2G passes all in one place. There are however, quite a few steps involved in setting it up and I am sure there are a few people in our community who are currently feeling a bit overwhelmed, perhaps not knowing where to start or maybe experiencing difficulties with the process. Our library mentors are ready to assist you.”

Appointments are available at both the Busselton and Dunsborough Libraries during January and February.

The Proof of Vaccination One-on-One Help Sessions is a free program delivered by the City of Busselton Libraries, with funding provided by the Australian Digital Health Alliance in partnership with Public Libraries Western Australia.

You do not need to be a library member to access these sessions, just call the Busselton library on 9781 1777 to book an appointment.

**Objectives outlined in this statement are aligned with the City of Busselton’s Strategic Community Plan (2021 - 2031) Key Themes, Leadership: A Council that connects with the community and is accountable in its decision making.
