Another successful project complete as part of the community led initiative and the City’s ‘You Choose’ Community Funding program budget. The Vasse Fathering Project has just taken possession of their purpose-built multi-use trailer.
Earlier in the year residents and ratepayers took part in allocating part of the City’s ‘You Choose’ Community Funding program budget, supporting community led initiatives.
The Fathering Project is a schools-based community group that encourages fathers and father figures to be the best they can with their children. The Fathering Project originally started in WA and has now found its way all over the country, with fathers and father figures involved with many schools in multiple locations.
The Vasse Fathering Project sought funding through the You Choose program to obtain a purpose-built trailer equipped with BBQ, washing up facilities, solar powered battery system to run a fridge for food, drinks and lighting, storage for games and equipment for activities. Congratulations.
