Proposal to temporarily close the roundabout at Peel Terrace/Causeway Road

The City invites submissions for a proposal to temporarily close the roundabout at the intersection of Peel Terrace and Causeway Road. The road closure is proposed to commence Monday, 7 February 2022 for the upgrade of the existing roundabout. The works will include:

  • Upgrading of the Peel Terrace/Causeway Road roundabout.
  • Upgrading the north bound lane of Causeway Road from a single lane to dual lane.
  • Realigning the existing shared path along Causeway Road from the Vasse River Bridge heading north along the western side of works.
  • Ancillary works such as drainage, new landscaping, road signs and line markings.

The road closure is proposed for a period of seven (7) weeks. Traffic management, including detours, will be in place for the duration of the closure.

The City is seeking written submissions to the proposal by close of business on Wednesday 26 January 2022.  Submissions by email to city@busselton.wa.gov.au; or post to the City of Busselton, Locked Bag 1, Busselton WA 6280; or  hand delivered to the Customer Service at the City’s Civic and Administration Centre, 2 Southern Drive, Busselton. Please provide contact details on all submissions and reference as ‘Peel Terrace/Causeway Road Roundabout closure’.
