Marine Berthing Permit

    The City provides two purpose-built marine berthing platforms located at the iconic Busselton Jetty — view the map here.

    These platforms are designed to support marine tourism operations, allowing vessels (including boats and tenders) to safely embark and disembark passengers.

    • Western Platform: 15 metres in length
    • Eastern Platform: 35 metres in length
    • Specifications: Both platforms have a displacement limit of 50 tonnes and can accommodate vessels with a maximum draft of up to 2 metres.

    • Public Liability Insurance and Workers Compensation Coverage

    Important Notes:

    • A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required for application processing. Applications submitted with less than 48 hours’ notice may not be approved.
    • The City of Busselton reserves the right to decline any application at its discretion.

    Fees and Charges:

    Applicable fees are outlined in the City of Busselton’s Adopted Schedule of Fees and Charges for the 2025/26 Financial Year. Charges are determined based on the permit duration and vessel length.
