KidSport

Eligible children in Western Australia can receive up to $300 per financial year to cover the costs of joining any approved KidSport club. KidSport

Vouchers can also be used across multiple KidSport clubs, helping more children to get active and connect with community sport.

KidSport eligibility

To be eligible for KidSport applicants must be:

  • Aged 5 to 18 years
  • A resident in Western Australia
  • Named on a valid Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card
  • Registered with a KidSport approved club. 

If your child will be 5 for the majority of the playing season, then the Kidsport application will still be considered. If your child is 18 at the time of application they will still be eligible for KidSport.

KidSport Regional Pools Program 2026

The Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport has teamed up with the City of Busselton to launch the State Governments KidSport Regional Pools Program for the second year running at the Geographe Leisure Centre.

This initiative aims to boost physical activity and water safety awareness for children aged 5 to 18. Eligible participants will receive a 3-month swim membership to the Geographe Leisure Centre, allowing children unlimited access into our pool for 3 months.

To be eligible, the children must be:

  • Aged 5 to 18 years inclusive at the time of application
  • Residing in regional Western Australia
  • Named on a valid Services Australia Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card, with the child’s unique Customer Reference Number (CRN) visible.

To encourage more children to take part in community sports, eligible children can use this subsidy alongside the existing KidSport voucher program. Applying for KidSport Regional Pools Program subsidy is separate from applying for a KidSport voucher.

Application process

  1. Check your child is eligible
  2. Complete the application form and attach a copy of your concession card
  3. Submit the form to glclts@busselton.wa.gov.au. Once assessed and approved, you will be contacted by the Geographe Leisure Centre with information regarding your pool pass.
  4. Applications may also be submitted in person at the Geographe Leisure Centre.

Applications are currently open and will close on 19 April 2026.
