Pavilion construction commencing

About the precinct

The Dunsborough Lakes Sporting Precinct is a major investment in community sport and recreation, providing modern, multi-use sporting facilities to support the growing Dunsborough community. Located at Lot 40 Dunsborough Lakes Drive, the precinct has been developed to accommodate a range of sporting activities, including soccer, cricket, netball and basketball. The precinct includes:

  • Multi-use soccer and cricket playing fields
  • Sports lighting
  • Four multi-use netball and basketball courts
  • Car parking facilities
  • New multi-sport pavilion (construction commencing)

The sporting fields, multi-use outdoor courts and car parking facilities have now been completed, providing local sporting clubs and the wider community with access to new facilities.

Pavilion development

The City developed the detailed design for the new pavilion in consultation with local sporting groups:

  • Dunsborough Cricket Club
  • Dunsborough Towners Football Club (Senior Soccer)
  • Dunsborough Soccer Club (Juniors)
  • Dunsborough Coasters Netball
  • Dunsborough Basketball Club

The City of Busselton acknowledges the patience and collaboration of the local sporting clubs and the community throughout the planning and delivery of this project.

Pavilion construction to commence

The Council endorsed the construction of the new multi-sport the pavilion on 19 August 2026 with construction scheduled to commence in October 2026. The pavilion is the final major component of the precinct's development and will further enhance the facilities available to local sporting clubs and their members. The pavilion will complement the existing sporting fields and courts, providing an important addition to the precinct and supporting the ongoing development of community sport in Dunsborough.

Project funding

The sports precinct project has been jointly funded by the City of Busselton, the State Government through the Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund, and a contribution from the Australian Government.

Once the pavilion is complete, the precinct will provide an expanded range of facilities to support local sporting clubs, participation in sport and recreation, and the continued growth of the Dunsborough community.
