Camping in the City
The City of Busselton is one of the State’s most popularly visited regions and for good reason. The beaches are stunning, the forest is pristine and the locals are welcoming!
Campers are an important component of our visitor cohort. To preserve the environment and to support local accommodation providers, camping is only permitted in registered Caravan parks or Camping Grounds.
In the City of Busselton, extended and overnight camping is not permitted outside registered caravan parks or camp grounds. This includes State or National Parks, local reserves, beaches, road sides and car parks.
What is Camping?
Under the Caravan Parks and Camping Grounds Act 1995, "Camp" is defined as any portable shed or hut, tent, tent fly, awning, blind or any other form of portable accommodation. This also includes vehicles, campervans and caravans.
Fines of $100 can apply to persons found to be illegally camping in the City of Busselton.
