The City of Busselton will be conducting garden maintenance works on the centre island of Clubhouse Drive between Carnegie Drive and St Michael’s Parkway.

Tenders closing at 2.00pm on Wednesday 18 June 2025 are invited for a suitable supplier to provide installation and maintenance services for the City of Busselton Swim Enclosures.

Following direction from the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) and decision of Council in April 2023, the City has been finalising a new Draft Local Planning Scheme No.22 (LPS22) to replace the existing Local Planning Scheme No. 21 (LPS21).

In accordance with Regulation 12(3) of the Local Government (Administration) Regulations 1996, the City of Busselton hereby gives notice of a change of date and time for the CEO Performance Review Committee Meeting:

On Saturday 24 May, 2025 Barnard Park, Busselton will play host to the triple J One Night Stand – a one-day, all-ages, alcohol and drug free music festival designed to bring Australian artists to regional towns across Australia. The event will be broadcast live nationally via triple J radio with event film production also taking place onsite.

The City of Busselton intends to impose its adopted Schedule of Fees and Charges for the 2025/26 financial year, prior to the adoption of its 2025/26 annual budget.

The City of Busselton has commenced the resheeting of the southern kilometre of Metricup Yelverton Road adjoining Metricup Road.

The Busselton Waste Transfer and Recycling Centre and Dunsborough Waste Facility will be implementing important changes to operating hours and requirements to dispose of certain household items.

The Shire of Dardanup (on behalf of a number of Participating Local Governments) is seeking submissions from suitable and experienced suppliers to provide Food Organics Garden Organics Waste Processing for 2025-2028.

The City of Busselton is seeking Expressions of Interest (EoI) from operators to take up trading opportunities at designated locations across the City of Busselton by way of a Commercial Hire Site trading permit.

The City will be completing scheduled maintenance for Bridge 3368 on Vasse Yallingup Siding Road.

The City will shortly be commencing general pruning works in the Vasse Birchfields area from late May to early June 2025.

The City will shortly be replacing a section of footpath and kerbing as well as resurfacing the adjacent parallel parking bays on Duchess Street.

The works will involve the removal of the existing footpath to allow for widening and reinforcement.

Update - works now complete and Dunsborough Boat Ramp reopened to members of the public on 9 May 2025.

Please be advised that from 30 April to 2 May 2025, the City will be carrying out removal and replacement works on a damaged section of exposed aggregate pathway near the Yallingup beach toilet block.

The City of Busselton will be undertaking a project to resurface the road on West Street, Barlee Street, and Strelly Street in May.

The City of Busselton will shortly be constructing a new footpath on Harris Road, from Carey Street extending to Ford Road.

Please note that the Meelup Regional Park Committee meeting scheduled for Monday, 28 April 2025 has been cancelled.

Over the next couple of months our City crews will be out on many of our rural roads working to keep our roadsides safe and maintained.

Northerly Street, Vasse will be temporarily closed to the passage of vehicles from 7 January 2025 for a period of approximately 8 weeks.

The City of Busselton will be upgrading the footpath on Prince Regent Drive shortly to improve access to the Power Centre shopping complex in West Busselton.

Pursuant to clause 2.1 of the City of Busselton Parking Local Law 2020, the City provides notice of its intention to implement the following parking restrictions within Busselton:

Section 3.59 of the Local Government Act 1995 requires from a local government, before it enters into certain major land transactions, to prepare a business plan, advertise the business plan Statewide and to invite and consider public submissions before that local government decides to proceed with the proposed transaction.

Road works will be taking place on Bussell Highway between Travellers Well and Macintyre Street from the end of March 2025 with completion expected by June (subject to weather).
