Public Participation

There are several ways you can raise an issue, ask a question or present to Council.

Please note that many questions can be answered more quickly by contacting the City directly.

You are encouraged to contact City officers or your elected members to discuss your query or concern, particularly if it relates to a specific property, service request or operational matter.

Council meetings are designed for formal decision-making, and detailed investigations or responses are often better addressed outside the meeting process.

Select an option below to find out how you can get involved.

Public Question Time

Public Question Time allows members of the community to ask questions during a Council meeting.

Please note Public Question Time is best suited to seeking general information or clarification about Council decisions, services or activities.

If your enquiry requires detailed investigation, background information or a substantive response, you are encouraged to contact the City directly or speak with a Councillor prior to the meeting.

Members of the public are encouraged to submit their questions in advance by submitting them by 12:00pm on the day before the meeting.
