Community Housing for Seniors

The City of Busselton provides community housing for eligible seniors.

The City has two unit complexes; Winderlup Villas located at 6 Marine Terrace and 21 West Street; and Kweelam Court located at 26 Harris Road in Busselton.

Eligibility

Eligibility for a rental unit is determined based on the following criteria:

  1. Applicants must hold Australian citizenship or have permanent resident status and must have a residential and postal address in Western Australia.
  2. Applicants must be aged 55 years or above.
  3. Applicants must not own or be part owner of property or land.
  4. Applicants must meet the Department of Communities Community Housing Income & Asset Limits Policy. Please contact the Property Officer on 9781 0381 to determine the current Policy Limits.

Applying for Community Housing 

Anyone believing they meet the criteria for Seniors Community Housing should download an Application Package available below and submit it to the Property Officer. The applicant will then be assessed for eligibility. If the eligibility criteria are met, the application will be reviewed when accommodation within the City’s Community Housing portfolio becomes available. Updated application details may be required at the time of review to ensure an application is current. Further information can be obtained by contacting the Property Officer on 9781 0381.
