Mobile Food Vendors

The City manages mobile food vendor permits for both fixed and itinerant locations through an Expression of Interest (EoI) process. For Fixed locations, vendors apply for permits at specific, designated approved sites throughout the City. For Itinerant traders, permits allow them to travel and temporarily stop to serve customers in various public areas, with restrictions on proximity to fixed businesses and certain zones like the Meelup Regional Park and Busselton and Dunsborough CBD. 

Fixed Location Trading Permit Applications

Several fixed, pre-approved sites have been identified across the City, suitable for mobile food vendors.

Permits to trade in these fixed locations are issued by the City of Busselton via an Expression of Interest (EOI) process, which is held every two (2) years.

The City is accepting new applications for Mobile Food Vendors, only at the Fixed sites shown as 'vacant' in the Mobile Food Vendor Trading Map.

Application for Trading Permit - Fixed Locations

Itinerant Trading Permit Applications

Itinerant Trading Permits allow travel throughout the district and stopping temporarily to serve customers. Interested vendors apply for permits to trade in various public areas, however are prohibited from trading within 300 meters of a fixed business or another approved mobile vendor selling similar goods.

A permit to trade as an Itinerant Food Vendor is granted by an Expression of Interest Process every two (2) years.

Trade at varied locations - Itinerant Varied Location Permit 

A permit can be applied for, to sell to the public at varied private locations (not on City land). You must have written permission from each property owner you wish to trade at prior to submitting your application.
