Economic Development and Marketing Grants Program
A strategic priority of the City of Busselton is to assist and provide for the economic development of the region.
The City has developed a Business Development, Events and Marketing Program (BDEMP) to support proposals that drive positive economic outcomes across the City of Busselton, funded through the Commercial, Industrial and Holiday Home differential rate.
Competitive funding is available through a pool of grant funding delivered via two distinct programs:
The Economic Development and Marketing Grants Program supports and facilities programs, services and projects delivered by stakeholder groups that contribute to economic and business development within the City of Busselton.
Funding streams
Economic Development and Marketing Grants are allocated across two available streams:
Annual Grants - One (1) Grant Round Per Year
- Grants over $2,000 up to a maximum of $30,000 per application.
- Funding requests of $10,000 and above require confirmed 50% matched funding - this can be made up of cash and qualified in-kind contributions.
Quick Response Grants - Open all year round
These grants are designed to provide an agile response to small projects and activations.
- Grants up to $2,000 (available until funds are fully expended each financial year).
- Easy application process, easy acquittal process.
- No need for applicants to provide matched funds.
- Applications are assessed as they are submitted.
Applications for both streams must demonstrate alignment to objectives identified in the City's Strategic documents including the City of Busselton Council Plan and the Economic Development Strategy 2022-27 (EDS). Funding Objectives for 2025/2026 can be found in the Program Guidelines - ED Grants Program Guidelines.
