Saltwater will be a state-of-the-art cultural and event facility integrating the ArtGeo Gallery and Weld Theatre in the heart of the City’s Cultural Precinct. You can also view the floorplans here. 

Auditorium

  • Capacity for over 1000 people standing
  • Over 600 seats in total (345 are retractable or removable)
  • 116 seats on level 1 balcony
  • 168 seats on level 2 balcony
  • 22 perched seats on multiple levels

 

Art Gallery

  • A-class gallery 
  • Temperature, humidity and security controls
  • Able to host national and international touring exhibitions

 

Courtyard

  • Outdoor exhibition space for shows such as sculpture works
  • Event space
  • Alfresco area for functions and informal dining

 

First Floor

  • Rehearsal studio room
  • Two multipurpose/breakout rooms
  • 400 plus banquet function with outdoor deck and views to Geographe Bay
  • Smaller lower cost spaces an affordable alternative for community hire for functions and events.

 

Foyer

  • 591 m2 foyer plus pop up bar area with full louvre windows opening out to Queen Street
  • Capacity for 1,000+ people for events, exhibitions, trade shows and conventions
  • Expansive undercover, portico main entrance for red carpet or events using the streetscape and Cultural Precinct
  • Entry from foreshore through alfresco laneway and courtyard function areas
