Our unique business advantages enable sustainable business and industry growth.Aerial photo of Busselton town centre

Over the past decade, we have revitalised our town centres and foreshore areas, created new hospitality and retail centres, progressed aged and health care facilities, and significantly upgraded our regional airport to international standards. The state-of-the-art Saltwater Busselton Performing Arts & Convention Centre is due to open early 2026.

We are now poised to capitalise on this transformative work and are expanding economic opportunities to accelerate our strong agribusiness, tourism, events and creative sectors and activate new activity in aviation, transport, renewable energy, technology, and healthcare industries.

The information below provides economic and demographic data relating to the City of Busselton, supplied through CommBank iQ and REMPLAN.

CommBank iQ

The City has subscribed to the Commonwealth Bank of Australia's (CBA) economic data platform, CommBank iQ, a joint venture between CBA and analytics company, Quantium.

CommBank iQ is a foundational dataset of all CommBank transactions, which currently represents roughly 35% of all transactions in Australia. These transactions are then refined to only cover Australian consumer transactions and the data is scaled to be representative of the total market based on the latest Estimated Residential Population.

CBA have a refinement engine that ensures categorising and locating of businesses is presented accurately. The transaction data is then mapped to the City of Busselton's Local Government localities to determine factors such as visitor and resident spend.

CommBank iQ enables businesses and institutions to analyse economic behavioural trends, overcome challenges, and create better, more targeted products and services. The City has made this data available to local businesses in two formats below. A Council iQ Monthly Insight Card is a snapshot of what is included within the full reports, containing visitor and local spend across three geographical areas within the City of Busselton. Please see the map enclosed below, indicating where each location refers to.

Please ensure you have read the product disclaimer before reading or sharing the following CommBank iQ data.
