Turf Maintenance Program
The City has introduced a Turf Maintenance Program. During the below time periods no formal training or matches are permitted. Please ensure to allow for these periods when fixturing games and training.
- 22 September 2025 to 6 October 2025
- 15 December 2025 to 5 January 2026
- 23 March 2026 to 6 April 2026
The intent of the Turf Maintenance Program is to remove the heavy impact of competitive matches and spectators during periods of renovation works between summer and winter sports and during the end of year leave period. The City recognises the grounds are public open spaces, hence the public will still wish to use the grounds for some element of basic fitness training and public use. However, formal sports training and matches are not permitted during this time to allow for renovations which may include topdressing, vertimowing, coring and product applications. This program helps to ensure that our sports turf is in the strongest health and condition as possible for the upcoming seasons.
For any queries or issues regarding the Turf Maintenance Program, please contact city@busselton.wa.gov.au att: Operations Admin.
