Proposed permanent closure and renaming of parts of Northerly Street, Vasse

Please note this notice is an extension to a previous notice advertised during December 2025. Added to this notice is a proposal to rename the south-western portion of Northerly Street, Vasse.
The City invites submissions on a proposal endorsed by the Western Australian Planning Commission to permanently close parts of Northerly Street, Vasse, pursuant to the Land Administration Act 1997 (the Act). As shown on the map below, the sections of Northerly Street proposed to be permanently closed are located between Harlequin Boulevard and Yebble Drive, Vasse.
The proposed closure is intended to facilitate the planning and development of the area, in accordance with Vasse Structure Plan Amendment No. 1, which was endorsed by the Western Australian Planning Commission on 26 September 2025.

If the road closures proceed in accordance with the Act, it is proposed that:
- the affected land areas be either integrated with adjoining properties or revested as a recreation reserve; and
- the south-western portion of Northerly Street be renamed “Armour Street”, “Timothee Street”, or another suitable name suggested by the community through written submission.
