(Past Event)

Discover 60 years of life-changing research powered by the Busselton Health Study Biobank. What began in 1966 as a small project operating from a fleet of caravans has grown into one of the world’s leading long-term community health studies.

With more than 20,000 participants contributing clinical data and biological samples, the study has helped generate over 600 scientific publications, advancing our understanding of chronic conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and lung health.

This special anniversary exhibition brings the story to life through a restored vintage caravan and engaging, interactive displays. Explore how decades of dedication, from participants, researchers, healthcare professionals, and evolving technology, have shaped groundbreaking discoveries that continue to influence global health.

Most importantly, the exhibition celebrates the extraordinary partnership with the Busselton community. Their ongoing generosity and commitment have made this research possible and continue to inspire future generations to take part in improving health outcomes for all.
