The City is honoured to have been recognised at the 2025 Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards, taking out the Bronze Award in the Local Government Award for Tourism category on Saturday, 8 November 2025.
Mayor Phill Cronin said: “This highly prestigious award recognises the City’s excellence in tourism planning, the provision of tourism facilities and services, marketing, events and the overall contribution made both locally and to the wider tourism industry. Thank you to all the staff, volunteers and local businesses who commit so much in creating such an incredible tourism destination.”
The City was also recognised as a finalist in the Cultural Tourism Award, with recognition for the role the Old Courthouse Complex plays in fostering a greater understanding and appreciation of authentic culture, history, heritage and art.
Mayor Cronin also acknowledged the myriad of other local organisations awarded on the night: “The recognition received by so many outstanding businesses within the City of Busselton truly reflects the passion and commitment of the local community. A huge congratulations to everyone involved!”
