The free event will be hosted at the Yallingup Coastal Bushfire Brigade, Valley Road, Yallingup from 1.00pm to 3.00pm Sunday, 7 December 2025.

Mayor Phill Cronin said: “Tailored for Yallingup townsite and surrounding areas, this interactive community event is designed to strengthen local preparedness and resilience ahead of the summer fire season.”

“In collaboration with members of the Local Emergency Management Committee, the City will provide practical tools, information and advice to help residents better understand bushfire risk and how to take practical steps to prepare.”

“This free, family-friendly event is all about empowering our community with the knowledge, skills and connections needed to stay safe. Let’s work together to protect what matters most!”

Representatives from the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES), Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA), Main Roads WA, Department of Communities, Dunsborough Police, State Emergency Services, local volunteer bush fire brigades and Yallingup Bushfire Ready Group will be on hand.
