A week before studios open their doors across the South West, art lovers will have the opportunity to experience the creativity, diversity and talent of Margaret River Region Open Studios through a special group exhibition at the Saltwater Busselton Gallery. 
Launching one week ahead of the start of the annual Margaret River Region Open Studios art event, Confluence will showcase works from more than 80 participating artists, presenting a unique collection that celebrates the region's vibrant creative community.
Mayor Phill Cronin said: “As one of Australia's largest open studios events, Margaret River Region Open Studios invites visitors into artists' working environments across Busselton and the wider Margaret River Region for over two weeks in September. Confluence will allow audiences to discover artists, engage with their work and plan their own Open Studios journey. The City is a proud sponsor of Margaret River Region Open Studios and I am delighted that we can host Confluence at Saltwater Busselton, the City’s new state of the art performing art and convention centre, for the first time this year.”
“Now in its thirteenth year, Margaret River Region Open Studios attracts thousands of visitors to the region each year, and this provides tangible support and promotional opportunities for local artists and businesses across the region” he said.
Each participating artist has selected a single work that represents their practice, creating a collective exhibition that reflects the rich variety of artistic mediums, perspectives and creative approaches found throughout the region. From painting and sculpture to photography, ceramics, textiles, printmaking and mixed media, the exhibition reflects the breadth and quality of artistic practice that has helped make Margaret River Region Open Studios a multiple award-winning annual event.
In keeping with the spirit of Margaret River Region Open Studios, all works in Confluence are available for purchase directly through the artists, creating meaningful connections between makers and collectors while supporting local creative practice.

Admission: Free entry. Saltwater Gallery is open daily from 10am – 4pm
