The Wadandi Track Expansion Project reached an important milestone last week, with tenders released for the construction of new track sections between Yelverton Road and Cowaramup and Sebe Road to Maze Road.

Once complete, the rail trail will span nearly 110 kilometres by 2028, making it one of the longest rail trails in Australia and creating a continuous connection from Busselton Jetty to Augusta.

Planning and early design activities are progressing across both local governments, with environmental assessments and site surveys undertaken over recent months.

The Wadandi Track Expansion Project is being jointly delivered by the City of Busselton and the Shire of Augusta Margaret River, in collaboration with the Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure.
