Ngari Capes Marine Park 10-year anniversary family fun day

Saturday 4th February 2023

(Past Event)

At 123,790-hectares, the Ngari Capes Marine Park is one of the most diverse temperate marine environments in Western Australia. This beautiful corner of the world is much loved by Western Australians as well as being a huge drawcard for interstate and international tourists. The marine park is a playground for an array of marine species, including humpback whales, fur seals, and rockhopper penguins frequently visiting the area.
Since its gazettal on 12 June 2012, the marine park has seen huge improvements to infrastructure, making it even more safe for boat users. The implementation of several monitoring programs also means better conservation outcomes for the marine life.
To celebrate this milestone, the marine team will be hosting a free family-friendly event on the foreshore between Shelter Brewery and the Busselton Jetty on Saturday 4 February from 10am to 2pm. A huge range of kid-friendly education activities will be on offer, as well as a Welcome to Country at 10am.
Come join the celebrations! For more information call the Busselton Parks and Wildlife Service office on 9752 5555
