2021/2022 Firebreak Notice

The firebreak notice for 2021/2022 is now available on the City’s website here

Works required in 2021/2022 remain the same as they were last fire season, there has been no change.

Although the City does not commence its bushfire inspections until 15 November 2021 (15 December 2021 on rural land),

now is a good time to start planning what you need to do to achieve compliance and in doing so, reduce the risk of a bushfire

starting or spreading on your land.

The City has amended the end date of the second period of its restricted burning time which is now 30 April 2022

(it was 31 May 2022). The new end date provides greater flexibility for the City to shorten or extend the restricted burning

time depending on the weather and fire conditions at the time.
