Gunn Street and Jensen Way - Road Improvement

Published on Monday, 3 November 2025 at 10:02:52 AM

The City of Busselton wishes to advise that road improvement works will soon commence along Gunn Street and Jensen Way, West Busselton. These works follow two rounds of community consultation earlier this year.

The works include construction of a cul-de-sac at the end of Gunn Street, drainage and kerb replacements, and asphalt resurfacing along both Gunn Street and Jensen Way. These upgrades will provide safer vehicle movement, improved drainage, and a renewed road surface.

To prepare for construction, four peppermint trees will be removed from the area to allow for drainage and road realignment. All removals have been approved through a clearing permit, and 15 replacement trees will be planted in the approved area following completion.

Removal of trees along Gunn Street is scheduled for mid to late November 2025, taking approximately one day to complete. The resurfacing and drainage works are planned to follow in January 2026, with completion expected in February 2026, subject to weather and contractor availability.

Traffic management will be in place during construction, including temporary closures and detours. Access to properties will be maintained at all times; however, short delays may occur while work is underway. Traffic controllers will be present to assist residents and service vehicles safely.

The City will make every effort to minimise inconvenience and appreciates your patience and cooperation during these important works.
