Prince Street laneway drainage upgrade works

Published on Wednesday, 15 October 2025 at 11:53:46 AM

The City of Busselton will be undertaking drainage upgrade works along the Prince Street laneway. This project is part of ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and address recurring flooding issues at the rear of the buildings.

The scope of works includes the installation of new drainage pipes, replacement of existing drainage pits, and removal of outdated infrastructure. These works are essential to enhance stormwater management and ensure safer, more accessible pathways for the community.

Works are scheduled to commence in November, with an expected duration of approximately 2-3 weeks, subject to weather conditions. Working hours will generally be from 7.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.

The entire lane will be closed to traffic during working hours, and no vehicle access will be available. As there is only one entry and exit point, it is strongly recommended that vehicles are not parked within the closed area, as they will be unable to leave while works are in progress. The lane will reopen to traffic outside of working hours and remain accessible overnight.

Every effort will be made to minimise inconvenience, and we kindly ask for your patience and cooperation while these important works are carried out. Please feel free to contact Customer Service on 08 9781 0444 if you have any queries.
